BE FO Camp 2007 was a BLAST!

4days 3 nights for Main Com/Group Leaders/Helpers (2 - 5 April)
3 days 2 nights for Freshies (3 - 5 April)

Day 1 (monday)
preparation for e Freshman Orientation camp.
Left school for friendly match (volleyball) against srjc & teck ghee CSC.
well, e catageory was under 19 (open) so Team Thomson CSC has people from sec1s to alumni (AMKSS). It was a gd start for our first friendly match against them.
The next friendly match wld be against sajc this coming friday.
Went back to sp ard 11 plus, 12 and joined the rest for sing along session!

Day 2 (tuesday) - GL - Jasmin & Scott
At 8am, Freshies came and started interacting with one another.
The Theme for this camp is SUPERHERO!
My juniors are in group 1 & we're SilverSurfer!
Around 9am i took off and went down to syfc for my flight.
Dover - Seletar (quite a long journey)
Well...what can i say...the weather was bad so 2nd wave was cancelled.
Back to sch they were playing games at the stations.
Getting to know my juniors' name wasn't very easy...i tried! xD
Highlights for today was...
-Blind mice
4 grps, 20 superheros being blindfolded.
Go through obstacles eg. Crawing, climbing, sliding
main reason is to have fun and trust the surrounding people.
-MT night
night walk started ard 2am.
Stations are around Singapore Poly.
it's dark, quiet, creepy and cold.
one by one, the superheros walk through the station....."AHHHHHH!"
some ran through, some walk with heads down, some scream, others cries!
"muahahahahahahaaaa"
Some enjoyed the night while others feared for the worst. okay, maby everyone were scared and u'll only know when ur there to see them shiver.

Day 3 (wednesday)
Without any rest for e past 2days, straight after MT night, went off to syfc for my scheduled flight at 7am.
Then again the bad weather cause me to cancel my flight.
Back to school, Silversurfer (SS) were playing Treasure hunt.
It was my day to register for GEMs (General Elevtive Modules) at 11am - 11.30am.
In i go into the Website and all the seats for photography was filled up!
Next i clicked on Councilling and Phychology...& again it was all filled up!
Following next i selected Cross Cultural Communication: Accent & Slang, only 2 seats were left!
Called my friend and when i click refresh, only 1 seat was left and so i took it!
Just my luck.
Back to the camp...the proceeded from treasure hunt to a game where they need to make a parachute and all to prevent an egg from cracking. (1 storey)
materials: 2 small plastic bags, 2 eggs, newspapers and 2 strings.
Highlights for todays programme:
Food optioning, where all 8 grps need to purchase food with their points.
Points are collected throughout e camp during games and all.
SilverSurfer had 520points! 3rd or 4th placing, not too bad.
imagine optioning for 1 box that ended with 50points and in it was 1 crabstick. HAHA!
NEXT, a night where 1 guy from each group needs to dress up as a SHE and showcase 'her' talets!
8 grps, 8 superheros turning into somthing no one would ever think of.
2am, disco night...
fun?
many were tired.

Day 4 (thursday)
Last day of camp.
Scheduled for flight in e first wave but canelled it. Played some games (telematch).
Went to classrm to watch some pictures taken during the camp.
*Lots of smiles going around...
in the room, after the slides where shown, yr 3s took over and asked the juniors who they think is SEXY and all!
Well...next next thing that took place was 5 people one by one being strip down to nth but a piece of cloth wrapped ard the lower part of the body.
there......voices coming from everyone's mouth, causing the 5 people's heart to pound harder & louder then an elephant's heart. There were going "shorter! shorter! shorter!"
all i can say is...
everyone enjoyed themselves which made the camp a successful one.
the camp ended off with photo taking session.
camp ended around 1630hr.

(6.30pm - 7.30pm)
Charles, Vincent, Simin and myself waited for cab.
listen to music for an hr through the phone and decided to do something that no one but us will do and that is to stay in for another night!
Hoonie went hm and came back to join us!
It was fun! LOTS of Laughter!
The three of us, grandfather scott, father charles & vincent son was training our abs with our non stop laughter all night!
playing cards, bluff, and playing a game called see who dare to sleep first!
who sleeps first will get colgate somewhere! haha!
our day ended with 5days 4nights of camp!
fun fun fun!

The day started and ended great.

spend my day out with jo and caught 'Stomp The Yard'.
pretty cool movie.

Started with my first today sortie which i must familiarize with boundaries of my flying area.
Well...first assignment for this vacation of mine is to BUY a STREET DIRECTORY of s'pore and start memorising this tiny winy country.
You know what?
S'pore is so SMALL! and trees look like broccoli from up there! So GREEN! So BROCCOLI!

Went down to Girl Guide HQ today to teach the people there drills.
They ain students! they were sch teachers!
pretty awkward initially but they were so willing to learn! it's so interesting trying to teach my seniors drills from stratch. Nice people.

well...first talk about yesturday,
i broke my own 2.4km timing record and that made my day so wonderful.

For today, decided to run longer distance and somehow manage to complete 16laps (6.2km).

I stayed aloof from this blog of mine for sometime man...
it's rotting.
it's boring.
it's plain.
well exams juz ended a few days back and results are coming out coming march.
hope everyone will make it!
the class bonding became strong ever since e final exmestral exams were ard the corner and hope it wouldn't juz stop here.
Life in poly has been great ever since the day i set my first foot on the campus.
Making new friends, experiencing new things and sharing all the moments of your life with your mates.
Well i guess this may be the end of my first chapter in poly 1 and awaiting for a whole new story to be written soon.

My journey started the moment I left home, heading to the airport on the 7 Dec 2006.
Singapore -> New Delhi -> Udaipur
Duration from S'pore to New Delhi was around 5hrs and from New Delhi to Udaipur was 1hr 10mins.
New Delhi/Udaipur is 2 ½ hrs behind S'pore.

Udaipur is known as the "City of Lakes". It is the Srinagar of Rajasthan.
The people there are simple, humble, non-materialistic, devoutly following age-old traditions and customs. I love the people there!

During our course, we were living at The Lakend Hotel and our rooms were facing the lake. The scenery was beautiful!
We did site seeing almost everyday, learning about their history and culture.

Started my day by going to jurong swimming complex to enjoy life!
er, actually din enjoy much without the SUN! darn weather...
I've actually spend my day out at town with EEVEL! him once again...dude, i was actually reminded tat i've got CAD studio re-test tml at 3pm but i'll skip it. no point staying 1-2hrs to gain another 1.5marks. haha.

At least they had 3 boats for today! so everyone got to row together.
ended training with 8sets of 10chin-ups.

well, hang out with 2 other friend after tat and we really share sth in common! haha...
we should actually hang out after training every sun man.
had a cup of coffee after lunch at sun tech's star bucks. *learning to enjoy our youth while we still can*haha

Well, first of all, thanks Eevel for acc me man!

Basically, life's pretty complicated! u've gotta agree with me...darn, wonder wad i should actually do.

Toking abt today's re-test for SM (Structural Mechanics). It's a JOKE! First of all, i din prepare for it so why sit for the re-test in the first place. Secondly, there's training at 5.30pm, sch ends at 3pm and the test starts at 5pm, so why not sit for it. Lastly, the paper is the same as the one i sat during term test. The best part was 1 classmate took off ard 20mins, next took off ard 25mins so i juz tooking off after him. haha. Its lyk WTH! i should have memorise the ans sheet. *darn*
gotta buck up for the next test!

hope things will get better pretty soon....

Hey people! srry for not updating!
now some ppl can acutally read this when their bored rite? RAJ/GAB? haha...

well...i'm back!
Basically, sch started 2 weeks ago on the 25Sept and since then things has been pretty smooth. Lots of convo going on during the first day of sch esp.
First week started off veri well...why? tats coz on tue,26sept, Cad studio was cancelled so only attended structual mec lesson for 1hr where it ends on 12pm so my classmates decided to hang ard town since it has been some time since we met up.
We watched e movie, John Tucker Must Die, it's a nice show...interesting...
First week was pretty slack, no training.

Its now e 2nd week of sch and DB training has started. Training's on tue, thurs & sun (today).
Guess wad...i actually injured my spine/back during tue training. Feeling lyk an old man till now. Gotta walk & climb stairs really slow. I now totally understand how IMPORTANT is back! can't do anything without it! not even holding a plate of food NOR bending down to play pool!"THX Gab for e handicap experience" haha...xD

Oh yea, recently picked up archery with gab,edwin & jia wei. Its really fun and funny! Jia wei got himself a 'tatoo' on this left arm during e first training. Dude, it's real! not maple! so pls becareful!

During sat's interview for glider course in dec was successful! i'm looking forward to it! another interesting experience coming right up.

Well tats all abt it for now...

CLASS BBQ- 21Aug`06 , An expensive experience...

Class bbq was held at East Coast Park on monday itself and i guess many of us had enjoyed ourselves. Some swam/many cycle.

Well...Neeraj finally learned how to ride a bike! *GD JOb* not so bad to learn within a day.
Many of us ride so much tat our butts really hurt!
We rode from one end to e other, to and fro....lyk thrice or more.
E breeze was refreshing and nice over e night as we camp by the side of the sea.
One of e most enjoyable part of the day wld be the part were most of us put in effort to start the BBQ, we dun actually need to sun tan to get dark but by juz standing by the pit, it has actually turned us into lobsters!

Moving on....as the pit was left deserted with out bikes by the pit, we only came to realised tat 2 bikes were missing ard 7+am...Our guess was the bike was actually being stolen ard 3+am where everyone was at mac slacking. Kinda stupid to leave e bikes there huh?
It wasn't tat bad, out of 8 bikes, 2 were missing....but tat definitely costed us a bomb. We actually need to pay $200 for 1 bike which makes $400 in total.
Oh yea, not to mention tat not only tat e bikes went missing, 1 vodka + some other water were gone too. * Are those ppl tat desperate?* EVEN TISSUES where gone.....omg...
Bascially, to rent a bike over night would cost $10 but after having to pay for e missing bikes, everyone of us actually paid $60 for tat experience....
Are we considered lucky?
2 out of 8 bikes were stolen, can u image wad happens if all 8 were stolen....

wad next? after sorting out these prob, a friend of mine decided to purchase Newspaper to search for job since it's e start of our break. 1st called made actually got *some of us* a job right after e interview in the afternoon. Tats lyk e fasterest job a person can actually get. Interview and start work on e same day.

It was really a tiring day for everyone but we all did got to know one another better.
i'm looking forward to the coming future's class outing. wad more unexpecting events can happen? haha...Thx ppl for everything....

Guess wad, i'm going to study tml! i mean seriously, it's abt time to head straight to notes + revision. Edure a short period or revision this week and it will all be over!

Wad a Wonderful day it was today...er...i mean ytd...

Well, my wonderful day doesn't include e first half of the day which was when i sat for Structural Mechanics Test...`understood rite?` haha
The paper was juz so 'simple' that many of my friends couldn't solve it.
Well at least BTM on thurs wasn't tat bad though i din prepare for it.

About ytd, after SM test, my classmates & i decided to hang out and watch fireworks at night!
For e 2nd time, 8 of us actually got to hang out together....BUT....one of them HAD to LEAVE EARLY coz he misses his com. *computer is a great invention*
So we played pool, had lunch and made a fool out of themselves as the missed their childhood!
i dun have to mention the many stuff they did but it was so darn hilarious.

during evening, another friend of mine came along and join in e fun!
we then headed off to Esplanade to view the fireworks...*nice!*
right after tat, my friend and i took off to catch 'See No Evil'. Well, e movie was kinda interesting *gross* love watching ppl digging someone's eyes out? then u should catch it.
it ain as nice as compared to 'Click'.

Headed hm after tat but happened to bump into Vincent at the mrt station where i had someone to accompany me there.
Next, bump into my ex ncc officer & formal teacher at my destination station...
it was 11plus and yet i'm able to bump into ppl who i know...really interesting...

Lastly! as i opened the letter box, i realised i've finally recieved my interview form for PPL (SYFC). Hope things will go well through this route!

Wouldn't you agree it was one interesting day for me? xD
hopefully there will be much more interesting and exciting matters that will occur infuture!

i'll then b so free on the month of Sept other the e first week of it due to LTC camp in sp.

Talking abt today, spend first half of my day in sch and 2nd half at hm.
luckly i kept my promise to be there for my friend's Oral Communication Presentation and i was early!
Kinda mixed things up a lil early in e morning! guess wad...
i actually thought the OC lesson starts at 8am & when i woke up at 8am, i immediately msged my friend to apologise tat i'll be late.
So...when i reached class ard 9am, i realised the door was locked...
i immediately called my friend and asked if the presentation was over, at tat moment i was still dreaming! He told he was at e library where i then realised lesson actually starts at 10am.
my fellow classmates were actually surprised tat i was early and here's the reason. haha.
dumb me...
by being blur actually helps me to get to sch early...thx myself for tat..haha.

nth much to tok abt today, went to sch ard 9am to do marking on e parade square and did a lil rehearsal. After which head off for a hair cut and came back hm.

Had Design Project Presentation yesturday!
It went quite well though my grp did last min work! I mean seriously last min!
All of us stayed up till 3plus AM on wed to rush DP!
Well...it was one fun day for all of us coz all of us seriously took lots of pic. right ppl?

[Wonderful classmates] nothing more i can actually say abt them other than Nice ppl.
Right after sch we were deciding wad to do while resting at fc2.
so finally decided to watch 'Click' at Lido.
Well..The show is really superb! What should i say, as long as any movie starring Adam Sandler will be nice! After watching the movie, it'll really make us learn to treasure our love ones.
What to watch next? See No Evil, My Super EX-Girlfriend...lots of interesting movies are coming up!
Moving on to Today,
Din have sch! no more Character Development!
so went down to sec sch for NDP rehearsal at 3pm and ended my day with Jonathan, Ahmad & Izuan for Dinner at amk central.
Oh yea...juz to welcome Ahmad back from IACE this morning! Welcome back bro.

I finally completed my OC's presentation! Wad's next?
Worry abt my presentation on tue....Hope i'm able to achieve an A for it!
Humm...exams are seriously coming! in 2 weeks time. gotta buck up since i've been slacking pretty much in class. Well...this week was rather tiring after going through 6 trainings in a week. Kinda lyk a routine, hm-sch-training-hm, hm-sch-training-hm....
Now this coming week needa return to sec sch for NDP rehearsals! Thanks Jonathan & Izuan for covering my place for the past few rehearsal. Trainings will be on Tue & fri. Lucky I dun have lessons on FRI!
Tml I gotta leave sch early ard 2plus to go hq collect my uniform+sword. -Long journey-

What should i say...was kinda moody today for no reason...i was aloof from others. haha!
Juz din have the mood to crap with them today. *my apologies*
But things were heating up after sch! Bought lots of snacks wif my classmates and slack in library. Humm...they were actually studying their Structure mec...Hafiz & Neeraj got frigthened by me in e library! it was so funny man! You should have been there to see their reaction!
Moving on to today's training...wasn't tat intensive, all we did was weight lifting & push-ups.
The best part was today's training started at 5.30 & ended early around 7pm BUT still...my friends and I went to the stadium for our self training & ended ard 8plus.
Its nt a bad day after all...

One thing i've gotta ask wld be "wad is e meaning of mon, tues, wednes, thurs, fri, satur, sun? without the word DAY?" dun know how i'd suddenly think of that...why is our days named tat way? Can't we juz name it after our names lyk scottday? sounds weird though.
Quite a stupid question huh?
Alright, now toking abt my TUESday which happens to be one of e better or slacker day of my week. First lesson started at 10am which was quite late and it was Oral Communication followed by 1 hr of break and math after tat. You may asked how to slack during math tutorials & lectures...well...my classmates were chatting/using com and taking pictures!

What is monday blues? a reason for not going to sch early? Well...i was late for sch as usual. haha... Although Mon wld be a long sch day for me from 8am-5pm, time flew pass really fast! 12-2pm break follow by 3hrs of CAD! Cad is lyk one of e best modules! Went for DB training after sch, did some running and pool rowing! training wasn't tat bad today.
Nth interesting abt my life in sch today...

I'm here to tok abt my interesting sat! I was too tired ytd when i reached hm so din blog.
Ytd's usher at Innova JC was quite dumb, a waste of time as u know, we went there to usher. To my surprised there were many ppl there for Racial harmony Day!
Pri + Sec sch kids. So wad everyone did was juz to hang ard...
Left IJC around 11am & head off wif shankra for lunch followed by going to the SYFC for my joyride. Shankra went there to visit some old pals and officers as he did aeromodelling there.
2 other friends of mine were also there for the joyride (Mark & Jonathan ow from SP). Lucky i wasn't alone there!

As the aircraft took off, the feeling was exhilarating! It was thrilling when it plunged up and down. The experience was unforgettable.
When i reached hm, i felt my eyelids weigh a ton! too tired to do anything but to FIRST have a nice shower followed by a wonderful dinner(instant noodles)! The best part was to juz let my bed & air-con do their job as my mind switches off.

Moving on to TODAY! wasn't so tat interesting...stayed at hm e entire day rotting infront of the tv. Not to mention tat the movie 'Bring it on' on channal 5 & 'Hitch' on HBO was really nice!
well...shall look forward to sch tml and DB training!

Its was quite a long day for me...now in hq.
Shall firstly thank Rong Fa for helping me out for CD! omg...thx alot! x)
humm...went to sch for 2hrs of cd which was really a waste of time! after which head off to sec sch training. Today's training in sch was alright as i train the partBs who are involved in Orienteering competition. Bet it was an unforgettable experience for them.
oh yea...almost for got to mention abt *ade! wad was tat look u gave me....haha! but least got to see u today. & to let u know tat i did update my blog! haha.
shall stop here now.
tml morning gotta go IJC for racial harmony day ushering. Quite stupid i think but from there i'll head to SYFC in the noon. Hope things will be interesting there. x)

Well...i'm back to update! How should i start? humm...
Today's DB training was alright, no running, no pool rowing, no pull-ups and all we did was weight lifting. A lil ach at my back & shoulders but it's minor. Every training my friend, Isac & I will b looking forward for games! Coz not long ago we actually played catching at business block and there's lots of stairs there! it's part of training by climbing stairs i guess but it was really fun! can u imagine!? 6 half-naked catches running all about! haha... today's training ended quite early around 7.15pm.

It's juz another normal day which soon gonna end in an hrs' time.
well, had DB training today and lucky it ended early! from 1530hr-1800hr. After which met my sec sch friend from squash and head back hm.
Boring day? nah...it was fine...so long things doesn't screw up. Shall thank Jia Wei for buying breakfast for me! haha...had a nice chilled milo and plain sandwitch during btm.

`Gabriel: Aka (Pink Dude) you asked why? coz he's hair is Pink! Wild guy! This chap is gd at CAD! He's lyk the 2nd teacher in class..willing to help others whenever someone calls 'SOS'!
`Annabel: Pity this lil gal...always get bullied in class...BUT she enjoys it and also play along as well...haha...Believe me, u can hardly see her getting angry. Rite?
`Edwin & Jia Wei: They are lyk the TWIN TOWER in class! Height range 185-190. Weakness: communicating to their legs. =x
